This was originally shared by another blogger, but it looks delicious! Instead of the jarred marinara, I would use homemade. I posted an easy, low-fat marinara recipe back on 8/11/15.

This would definitely be great with homemade marinara!

It would! The home made sauce just adds that little extra something. I never use jarred sauce anymore. The homemade stuff freezes well too. This year I’m going to plant tomatoes and go totally fresh! That version will be off the hook good as nothing tastes better than homegrown tomatoes!

I wish I could grow tomatoes but I don’t have a garden. You should definitely do it that way though, fresh is the best!! 🙂

I don’t really have a garden area right now either. I’ll probably plant in pots. They even have those hanging ones for growing tomatoes.

We are being taken over by aggressively growing silverbeet at the moment so I am going to try this with that instead of spinach. And definitely with a home-made tomato sauce.

I’m not familiar with silver beet. I take it, it is a green. And yes on the homemade sauce! Can’t go wrong with that!

I think you might know it as Swiss chard maybe? Very similar to spinach and taking over our vege garden at the moment!

Yes, Swiss chard I know. We got the most beautiful rainbow chard a little while back!

Looks incredible. When things look this good, I know portion size becomes a necessary discipline. To balance out the meal, I would add 3-4 cups of mixed vegetables with some organic tofu to add healthy carbs and protein.
